We are taking BOOKINGS!!! Get secure your permits for hiking this classic tour to Machu Picchu.

Dear friend: for many people, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is on their bucket list. This 26 miles trail leads to one of the 7 Wonders, is one of the most Popular in South America – perhaps the world. And it´s for a good reason. The hike is outstanding, no matter which route you take. Every day you will pass some of a gorgeous scenery on the planet and roam around astonishing ruins. It is a unique adventure.

If you are interested in booking any of the Inca Trail hikes, please make sure in advance, Inca Trail Availability. This is because the government of Peru allows only 500 hikers on this trail per day, including guides, porters, and cooks, in order to protect the original 26 miles of ancient trails. As a result, they often sell out. Permits are reserved on a first come, first served basis, and cannot be changed once reserved. Transfer of names and/or dates are strictly forbidden, so make sure you have confirmed your dates before booking your trip. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us, and we will help you out as much as we can.

WHAT TO DO IF THE Inca Trail Availability IS SOLD OUT FOR YOUR DESIRED DATES?

If your dates are not available, don’t get stressed.  Several alternative hikes with a final destination of Machu Picchu are available through us.  You can consider hiking through Salkantay, probably the most popular alternative trek to the Inca Trail.  This trek also sees fewer people than the more-popular Inca Trail, making it perfect if you want to get off the beaten path.  Alternatively, the Lares and Huchuy Qosqo treks are slightly shorter treks that allow you to see the majesty of Machu Picchu, in addition to other sites not found on the Inca Trail.

Very Important Note: If the name or number on your passport does not match the name and number on the trek permit, the government authorities will not allow you to start the trek and you will not be entitled to a refund.

More hikes without a final destination of Machu Picchu are available through us.

RENEWAL OR CHANGE OF NAME ON PASSPORT

If you plan to renew or change your name on your passport between making your trek booking and starting your trek, you can book your trek or tour with your current passport number or name, but you must send us a copy of your old passport and a copy of your new passport when you have them. We can then make the change with the government before you arrive. The extra cost to do the change is US$25 per person. (This will cover the change in number or name for your Inca Trail Permit, Machu Picchu Entrance, and Train.)

If you do not advise us of the change or do not want to pay the fee, bring the original of both passports (the old and new one). You can enter Peru with your new passport but you must show the government authorities your old passport in order to enter the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu or Train. “If you cannot do so, you will not be allowed to start your trek by the government officials. All names and numbers must match!!

STUDENT GREEN CARD
If you make a trek booking at the student price must send us a copy of your ISIC card at the time you pay the trek deposit. If you fail to bring your Original ISIC card on the trek, the government authorities will not allow you to start the trek. (You will not be given the opportunity to pay the difference in price).
