DAY 1: From Cusco Airport to the Alpaca Farm and the Pisaq Market and ruins
Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our guide will pick you up to start with this lovely tour to the Sacred Valley. Where you and your guide will board our private transport for a drive to the Sacred Valley, (Great option to acclimatize) the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The tour includes the visits the small zoo of Cochahuasi where you can observe the flight of the CONDOR`S, Andean pumas, fox, deer’s, parrots, macaws and variety of animals and birds and then, you will visit Awanancha or (Alpaca farm) which is a weaving center with the goal to keep alive the traditional textile arts. Here you can see four members of the camelids family – llama, alpacas, vicunas, and guanacos. Alpaca have thick wool and is the most commonly used while the vicunas are small and delicate with fur considered the finest. You can meet these four camelids, learn about the harvesting of the different wools and the natural dying techniques and have changed to see native weavers from different areas showing their weaving style and dress afterwards, we continue with visit to the Andean native market and ruins of Pisac. After visiting, we continue driving for 1 hour 30 minutes to your hotel located in Ollantaytambo and you overnight there. Book your hotel on your own.

DAY 2: 1-Day Tour of Ollantaytambo, Moray and the Salt Mines
We would pick you up at 8 am, then we will visit the incredible fortress of Ollantaytambo and then, we will drive to Salineras/Maras Salt Mines. There are 3,000 salt pools, which act as evaporation chambers. They spill out of the mountain and down the mountainside at 12,000 feet above sea level. Owned by local farmers, these pools have become the main economic activity for all the locals. After visiting Salineras/Maras Salt Mines enjoy your lunch at any restaurants located in Maras town.
After lunch, we will drive to Moray Inca Archeological Center. The Inca used Moray as a way to study farming. They built terraces and experimented with different vegetables. You will see each terrace of Moray and the differences in growth they provided.
We will head back to Ollantaytambo to board the Vistadome Train at 15: 37 pm or Expedition Train at 19:04 pm. The choice is yours. Then, we travel by train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) for about 1 hour 45 minutes. You will be brought to your hotel, to prepare for your next day, visiting Machu Picchu.

DAY 3: Machupicchu Guided Visit and back to Sacred Valley or Cusco
We encourage you to wake up early in the morning to get to the bus station for one of the first shuttle-style buses, starting at 5.30 a.m. This bus will take about 25 minutes to get to Machu Picchu. As soon as you arrive at the complex, we will take you to the best spot overlooking all the ruins. There will be a rendezvous to observe the sunrise and see a spectacular view of the Lost City of the Incas. You will then have a two hour, guided tour around Machu Picchu, followed by time to explore on your own.
Once you are finished exploring Machu Picchu, you will take a bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, followed by an afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo. We will have private transportation back to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
The return train ticket is in Expeditions tourist class, from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo is at 14:55 pm or 16:22 pm. Cusco Airport Information
The only airport in Cusco at the moment is the Alejandro Velasco Astete. It is located at 5.2 kilometers from the city center and it takes between 10 and 30 minutes to get to it depending on traffic.
Cusco Airport is the second busiest airport in Peru, and it handles domestic flights to Lima, Arequipa, Puno and Juliaca while its international destinations are La Paz, Bolivia and Bogota, Colombia.
The main airlines operating from the airport are LATAM, AVIANCA, PERUVIAN, START PERÚ, LOS ANDES, LCP, and the small local operator of AMASZONAS Airlines operating is handful of flights per week to Bolivia.
The airport is one of the top 20 of highest altitude airports in the world and owing to its location, surrounded by mountain chains, landing can only occur when conditions are optimal weather wise. Thus, every now and then flights get delayed due to cloud cover or bad weather. Additionally, visibility is another factor that comes into play. For such reasons, its hours of operation are from 05:30 to 20:00hrs.
Getting to and from the airport
Unfortunately, at the moment, Cusco’s airport does not have an official airport bus as Lima’s airport does. Nevertheless, the city is not so big and it does not take much time arrive to your accommodation once you are ready to exit the airport terminal.
