To begin this incredible second-day adventure and explore the best of the Sacred Valley on a private tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in the Sacred Valley at either 8 or 8:30 a.m. The exact pickup time will be confirmed on the previous day, depending on the train schedule to Aguas Calientes after your tour.

We will head towards the small town of Chinchero. The journey takes just over an hour and is a beautiful ride through the mountains, providing the most spectacular views. You will discover immense snow-capped mountains, vast fields of corn, and beautiful villages.

Upon arrival, we will visit the archaeological site, including the Inca palace’s remains, a ceremonial center, and several agricultural terraces. Next, we will attend a demonstration of the handwoven textiles made by the local women. They are experts in this art, which has been a tradition for hundreds of years, using entirely natural dyes.

After immersing in the peaceful Andean highlands at the Chinchero, we will continue our journey to board our private transportation towards Moray and explore the circular agricultural terraces arranged in concentric circles and descending into the ground, which compares to an amphitheater or extraterrestrial. However, it was a gigantic Inca agricultural laboratory. Your guide will explain the history, and you will have time to explore and take photos.

Afterwards, enjoy a nourishing lunch in a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley, savore traditional Peruvian flavors that connect you to the land (Lunch is NOT included in the price).

After lunch, we will continue your journey to the Maras Salt Mines, a serene landscape of terraced salt ponds. Feel the calming energy of this ancient site as you learn about the natural salt extraction methods still practiced by local families. The site has been producing salt since ancient times, and over 3,000 salt ponds are filled daily with underground water. You will have a surreal landscape to take the most incredible photos with the Salt Mines in the foreground.

Finally, we will head to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, where will visit the Inca site, which includes a fortress, a temple, and several residential areas. Your guide will explain the history and significance of the site, as well as the strategic importance of its location in the valley. You will have some free time to explore the ruins on your own, take photos, or climb to the top of the fortress for panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains.
