To be able to participate in the Full day tour to Machu Picchu, you need to arrive in Cusco a few days before to acclimatize and stay in a hotel near the center of Cusco with route access. If you stay in Sacred Valley, like Urubamba or Ollantaytambo, the pick-up will be 1 hours later than usual because the Train station is located in the town of Ollantaytambo.

The pick-up time from Cusco is around 4.00 am, which could be before or after, depending on the final train schedule and the Expedition or Vistadome train service chosen. Also, the entry time to Machu Picchu ultimately depends on the time of booking.

We suggest booking the earliest possible to get the best train schedules and entry times to Machu Picchu. If you stay closer to Ollantaytambo, the pick-up will be around 5:00 am to 5:30 am (The exact pick-up time will be confirmed one booked, as they might fluctuate based on where you are staying.)

Very early in the morning of the 1 day Machu Picchu Tour! We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, to travel approximately 1h 45min in a private car to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo

Where you will board the train, either the Expedition Class Train at 6:10 am or Vistadome Superior Train at 07:05 am that’ll take you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the stunning Andean mountainous landscape on a fantastic journey that goes from the high Andes to the Cloud Forest in Aguas Calientes.

During this approximately 1h 45min fantastic train journey, either Expedition or Vistadome train, you’ll see several glaciers and snowy peaks, as well as fertile green valleys and Inca agricultural platforms on both sides of the valley.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the town located at the base of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Our representative will be waiting for you to assist you in taking the bus that will transfer you straight to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary. The beautiful bus ride takes 25 minutes.

Finally, we will arrive at the historic sanctuary to carry out our Machu Picchu tour. At 10:00am, we pass the checkpoint, where you will present the entry tickets, show the original passports, and enter to explore Machu Picchu with your exclusive Peru Spirit Adventure Tour Guide.

Once in Machu Picchu, recharge your energy, open your arms, and feel the magic of this ancient place. Enjoy the impressive view from the Inca citadel, surely a moment that you have been waiting for eagerly.

After taking your first few photographs and the unforgettable moment, our English-speaking guide will start the tour that will last approximately 2.5 hours where you will receive detailed information about the culture and history of the citadel so that you can better understand the history and architecture of this wonderful place.

You will visit most of the important sectors and buildings, such as the viewpoints, the Guard House, the terraces, temples, palaces, etc. While you connect with nature and recharge your energies in this magnificent sacred place. You should know that currently, the visit time is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.

After the tour the legendary lost city of the Incas, you can take some time to relax and enjoy the fantastic views. Onward, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to have lunch (not included) and explore the town of Aguas Calientes, which has many restaurants and craft shops.

In Aguas Calientes, you can explore the streets, take short walks in the cloud forest, visit the hot springs if time allows, or explore the local market. Aguas Calientes is a very small town, and you can easily walk in 10 minutes from one corner to the other.

Late in the afternoon, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our representative will be waiting for you with a sign and your name written on it; and then travel to Cusco in our private transport to your hotel in Cusco, and thus, we will finish our full day tour to Machu Picchu in one day.

We’ll drop you off at the door of your accommodation. The time of your arrival will depend on the time of your train ticket.
