To start this exciting adventure quad bike tour in the Sacred Valley; we’ll pick you up from your Cusco hotel at 7:30am and then set off in our private transport to the ATV base located in Cruzpata, in the heart of the Sacred Valley, passing through breathtaking landscapes that showcase the region’s natural beauty.

Along the way, we will pass by the beautiful Huaypo Lagoon, a serene and magnificent location providing a fantastic opportunity to capture unforgettable photos and see the snow-capped peaks of La Veronica and Chicon, set against the magical landscapes typical of the Andes.

Upon arriving at our base of operations in the Cruzpata area, before starting the adventure by ATV to Moray, you will receive an instruction on how to use the ATV’s and have 10 minutes practice to familiarize with the ATVs.

We’ll then begin the quad bike activity and about 45-minutes ride to Moray Archaeological Center through spectacular scenery, stopping to take pictures of the magical mountains, glaciers, traditional villages and other aspects of Andean life.

Nearby the entrance of Moray archaeological site, we’ll park the quad bikes to have a guided tour of the amazing Inca agricultural terraces, which was designed by the Incas in the shape of a sunken amphitheater, are believed to have been used to create microclimates that supported the growth of various crops and plants.

We will spend about 30 minutes exploring the mesmerizing archaeological site of Moray before continue our quad bike tour adventure in Peru’s Sacred Valley through green fields to the lookout point to enjoy the awe-inspiring vistas of five glaciers.

After a 40-minute return trip to our base, we will leave the ATVs and board our vehicle. For safety reasons, the rest of the route to the salt mines cannot be done on ATVs due to the steep slopes and sharp curves along the way.

We will arrive at the salt evaporation ponds at Maras, which served the Incas by supplying salt to Cusco and surrounding towns. We’ll explore the salt terraces, fed by a stream of saltwater. The salt from these mines is recommended for people with hypertension, skin conditions, or swelling, so don’t forget to purchase some during the Maras and Moray Tour by ATV Quad Bike.

After exploring the Salt Pans of Maras, we’ll head to the Maras or Chinchero town to enjoy lunch (not included). Following lunch, we’ll head to visit Chinchero and explore its ruins and visit the Andean Textile Center, where we’ll be treated to a demonstration of traditional weaving and dyeing techniques. They are experts in this art, which has been a tradition for hundreds of years, using entirely natural dyes.
